The first step has been taken for the new building of the Istanbul Wrestling Club, a cornerstone of Turkish wrestling history dating back to 1919. The groundbreaking ceremony for the new facility, located in Fatih, Aksaray and designed by Cafer Bozkurt Architecture to blend the spirit of the past with an innovative language, was held on February 19, 2025. The ceremony was attended by Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu, who contributed significantly to the project's realization, and Club Honorary President Sadettin Tantan. Designed as a fully equipped indoor sports area with a total construction area of 4,690 square meters, the project aims to raise new legends for Turkish sports by combining the club's century-old legacy with modern infrastructure.
